I am very impressed with the responses from my new group of students in EDT 400 and their responses to several readings/viewings about technology and its role on learning and life. Significant issues were everywhere...how isolating technology can be and how critical it is to ensure that we use technology to work together. One of the technology in learning gurus talks about technology as more than "cool tools in search of a solution," an excellent way to think about technology in schools.
Other issues were about the social web and the responsibility we have for keeping our students safe; cyberbullying; finding the balance between technology and learning...and much, much more.
I am looking forward to another great semester of learning...mine!
